A Chef’s Cathedral - Part 6: The Sacred Work

“Art is not what you see, but what you make others feel.” ~Edgar Degas
The best work does not seek attention. It supports, frames, and elevates. It becomes part of the experience without becoming the center of it. That is our role: not to be noticed, but to help others notice what truly matters.
Our work can be technical. It can be beautiful. At its best, it is both. But always, it serves something greater. We shape spaces so others can feel present. We prepare the room to hold conversation, stillness, and connection. We do not direct the moment; we make space for it.
When a place is built with care, people feel it. They may not know why the evening stays with them, or why it felt whole, but the memory remains.
That is the sacred work. And we are honored to do it.
